Stefany Daniela Aguilar

Daniela is five years old and is currently enrolled at Santa Clara.  Olancho Aid was first introduced to Daniela in 2009 as her family struggled to deal with the after effects of a terrible flood that destroyed their home.  Over the next few months, OAF built a relationship with Daniela’s grandmother, the sole caretaker of Daniela.  We learned that Daniela did not attend public school because the family lacked the financial resources to purchase a uniform and shoes, both of which are required. 

Thanks to the help of Pat and Beth Monley, Daniela is able to attend Santa Clara on a full scholarship.  They have committed to providing for Daniela’s education through high school.  Daniela is taking full advantage of the opportunity the Monley’s have given her.  She received straight A’s this year in Ms. Veasey’s kindergarten class!
